DISCLAIMER

This page explains the scope of information on greyring.com and the standards for using the website. It supplements our Website Terms, which contain the full terms for website use. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain personal information and cookie choices.

The website is operated by GREY RING LTD., trading as Grey Ring, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 12855748. Our registered office is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Contact contact@greyring.com or +44 (0)20 8178 9660.

1. Recruitment and general information

Grey Ring supports permanent and contract recruitment in specialist technology markets. Website articles, market commentary, career information and salary or rate indications are general information. They are not individual legal, tax, immigration, investment or employment advice. Obtain advice appropriate to your circumstances where needed.

We take reasonable care over published information and correct material errors brought to our attention. Information may be time-sensitive or depend on details supplied by a client or another source. Please check the date and confirm material details with the relevant recruiter before relying on them for an important decision.

Nothing on this page excuses misleading vacancy information or removes a duty to exercise reasonable care and skill.

2. Vacancies, applications and engagements

A vacancy advertisement invites an enquiry or application; it is not a binding offer of employment or an engagement. Vacancies can be amended, withdrawn or filled, and the website may not immediately reflect every change.

Salary, rate, location, working arrangements, benefits, start date, eligibility and other role details remain subject to confirmation and the final agreement. Unless the advertisement states otherwise, pay figures are gross and before applicable tax or deductions. Confirm the relevant details before resigning from a role or committing to travel, relocation or other costs.

Submitting a CV, registering interest or attending an interview does not guarantee an offer, placement or particular outcome. We do not charge candidates for finding or attempting to find them work. A website enquiry or CV submission does not by itself create exclusivity, an employment relationship or a recruitment fee obligation.

Separate recruitment, work-finding, client, contractor or assignment agreements govern the relevant services and engagement arrangements. This page does not amend those agreements or remove mandatory recruitment, employment, equality or other legal duties.

3. Materials and information you provide

Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and tell us about material changes. Do not knowingly misrepresent qualifications, experience, eligibility, identity, authority to act for an organisation or the existence of a vacancy.

Submit only information and materials that you are entitled to share. Remove unnecessary confidential client or employer details from a CV. If you provide a referee’s details, make the referee aware and share our Privacy Policy. Reference contact arrangements, including permission before contacting a current employer, are explained in the Website Terms and Privacy Policy.

You retain ownership of your CV and other original materials. Their use is limited by the Website Terms, your relevant instructions, our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Submitting a document does not give us permission to publish it publicly or use it for unrelated marketing.

4. Acceptable use

Use the website lawfully and respect other people’s rights. You must not:

•         Impersonate a candidate, employer, recruiter or other person; submit fraudulent applications or vacancies; or misuse someone else’s information.

•         Attempt phishing, identity theft, payment diversion or other fraud, including by falsely claiming to represent Grey Ring or a client.

•         Upload malicious software, probe or bypass access controls, or attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems, CVs or other information.

•         Disrupt the website, overload its infrastructure or interfere with another person’s access or use.

•         Use forms or other facilities for spam, unsolicited advertising, unlawful discrimination, threats, harassment, defamatory statements or infringement of intellectual-property, privacy or confidentiality rights.

•         Harvest personal information or use automated scraping or extraction in breach of applicable law or our intellectual-property rights.

These restrictions do not prevent legitimate search-engine indexing, ordinary accessibility tools or activities that cannot lawfully be prohibited. Automated reuse beyond ordinary indexing requires our written agreement where we are entitled to control that use. The Website Terms explain permitted extracts, sharing links and other use of our material.

5. Links, third-party names and examples

External websites and services operate under their own terms and privacy information. A link is provided for convenience and is not a guarantee about the external service. We remain responsible for our own conduct and for legal duties that apply when arranging a service or handling information.

Third-party names, trade marks and logos belong to their respective owners. A reference to an employer, client, technology or platform does not by itself establish endorsement, official accreditation or a partnership. Any specific claim about our relationship with an organisation must be accurate.

Testimonials, examples and past assignments describe particular experiences or work. They are not promises that every candidate or client will achieve the same result. This does not reduce our responsibility to present them accurately and with appropriate permission.

6. Website availability and security

We may maintain, update or temporarily restrict the website for reasonable operational, security or legal reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Take reasonable precautions to protect your own device and connection.

If a form is unavailable or an important submission has not been acknowledged, contact us through the details above. Do not send passwords, bank credentials or unnecessary identity or sensitive documents through a general website enquiry.

7. Responding to misuse

Where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent misuse or comply with law, we may decline or remove a submission, restrict access to the relevant website facility, investigate and report unlawful activity to an appropriate authority. We consider the nature, seriousness and consequences of the issue.

Where appropriate, we explain the reason and provide an opportunity to put matters right. Urgent security or legal concerns may require immediate action or limit the information we can share. Restricting website access does not remove privacy rights or automatically end a separate recruitment or engagement agreement.

8. Responsibility and rights that remain protected

Nothing on this page excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing removes statutory rights or rights to compensation and remedies under applicable data-protection law.

The responsibility-for-loss provisions in the Website Terms apply, including the protections for individuals using the website for a personal job search and the separate provisions for business use. This page creates no additional liability exclusion, indemnity or waiver. If this page conflicts with the Website Terms, the Website Terms govern website use, subject always to mandatory law. A separately agreed service contract governs the relevant service.

9. Reporting concerns and changes

Report an inaccurate vacancy, suspected impersonation, misuse, a security concern or an accessibility problem to contact@greyring.com or +44 (0)20 8178 9660. Provide the relevant page address and a brief explanation, without including another person’s unnecessary personal information. Do not access, copy or disclose other people’s records to demonstrate a security issue.

We refer concerns to an appropriate person, investigate and explain the outcome within a reasonable time. Privacy complaints follow the process in our Privacy Policy. You retain any right to approach a regulator, tribunal or court.

We may update this page to reflect changes in law, website operation or relevant services. Changes apply prospectively and do not retrospectively alter existing recruitment or engagement agreements. We show the latest revision date and draw attention to material changes where appropriate. Governing law and jurisdiction are addressed in the Website Terms, including applicable consumer protections.
