Senior Workday Specialist – Netherlands

Job Description

Grey Ring is recruiting an experienced Senior Workday Specialist for a permanent opportunity in the Netherlands.

This role is suited to an experienced Workday professional with a strong hands-on functional and configuration background who can take ownership of complex Workday requirements across an established enterprise environment.

The position will have a particular focus on Absence and Time Tracking, alongside broader exposure to Core HCM and other areas of the Workday platform.

What you’ll do

• Configure, maintain and optimise Workday functionality across key HR processes.
• Take a leading role across Workday Absence and Time Tracking requirements.
• Work closely with HR, IT and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical Workday solutions.
• Support Workday implementations, enhancements, releases and ongoing application development.
• Analyse existing processes and recommend improvements to configuration and system usage.
• Support testing, issue resolution and deployment of new functionality.
• Contribute to Workday governance, documentation and system standards.
• Work across Core HCM and, where relevant, Reporting, Security and Integration requirements.
• Support and advise less experienced Workday users and specialists.
• Act as a knowledgeable point of contact between business stakeholders and technical/integration teams.

What you’ll bring

• Approximately 7+ years of Workday experience.
• Strong hands-on Workday functional and configuration experience.
• Strong preference for expertise across Absence and Time Tracking.
• Good understanding of Workday Core HCM.
• Experience participating in multiple Workday implementations is strongly preferred.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate business processes into effective Workday configuration.
• Experience working directly with business and HR stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
