Workday Application Consultant – Medior – Netherlands

Job Description

Grey Ring is recruiting a Workday Application Consultant for a permanent opportunity in the Netherlands.

This position is ideal for a Workday professional with approximately four to five years of experience who has developed strong hands-on capability across Workday configuration, application support and implementation.

You will work across an established Workday environment, supporting the continued development and optimisation of the platform with a particular interest in candidates who have experience across Core HCM, Absence and Time Tracking.

What you’ll do

• Configure and maintain Workday functionality across key HR processes.
• Support Workday implementation, enhancement and optimisation activities.
• Work with business and HR stakeholders to understand application requirements.
• Translate requirements into appropriate Workday configuration.
• Support Core HCM processes and related application functionality.
• Contribute to Absence and Time Tracking configuration and support.
• Participate in testing, releases, issue resolution and production support.
• Investigate application issues and identify practical solutions.
• Maintain configuration and process documentation.
• Work with technical and integration specialists where changes affect connected systems.
• Contribute to the continued improvement of the organisation’s Workday environment.

What you’ll bring

• Approximately 4–5 years of Workday experience.
• Hands-on Workday configuration experience.
• Experience across implementation, application support or Workday enhancement projects.
• Strong understanding of Workday Core HCM.
• Experience with Absence and/or Time Tracking is strongly preferred.
• Ability to analyse functional requirements and configure Workday accordingly.
• Good stakeholder communication skills.
• A practical and delivery-focused approach.
